Information We Collect
We gather only the essential personal data required to deliver our services — such as your name and email address — for authentication and authorisation purposes. Without this information, effective delivery of our services may be hindered.
Analytics cookies. If you choose to accept, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). This sets cookies such as _ga and shares usage data with Google. Analytics is off by default and only starts after you click "Accept". You can change your mind at any time using "Cookie Settings" in the site footer. See how Google uses data.

- Authentication & Authorisation — we use your name, email address, and other necessary information to authenticate and authorise access to our services.
- Communication — we may use your contact details to communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Stripe — we use Stripe for identity verification. Stripe collects identity document images, facial images, ID numbers, addresses, and fraud signals. You can read Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal data. You may also object to processing, request restriction of processing, or request portability of your data. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@anglerinventory.com. We will respond within one month.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, and thereafter only where required by legal, contractual, or business obligations — such as resolving disputes or maintaining accurate financial records.
Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Our measures include:
- Secure Communication — all data transmitted between you and our services is encrypted via TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Private Database Network — our database sits in a private network within the Digital Ocean London region, with no direct public internet access.
- Password Encryption — passwords are never stored in plain text. All passwords are hashed using the Argon2 algorithm.
